🏁 Seal The Deal: Successful CTA

The "why" and "how" you need to make people click.

📹 ✅ To be brutally honest, your video will not perform unless your CTA is clear and impactful. You’ve nailed your content with great visuals, smooth edits, a scroll-stopping hook. But if you’re not telling your audience what to do next, you’re risking leaving a ton of engagement behind. That’s where a strong CTA (Call to Action) comes in.

However, don’t get it twisted. A good CTA doesn’t just slap “Buy Now!” at the end of your video. It’s about guiding your audience naturally toward the next step - whether that’s clicking a link, or even further - adding product to basket or checking out. The best CTAs feel effortless, not forced.

Think of your content like a conversation. If you just shout information at people and walk away, they might enjoy it, but they won’t know what to do next (read: scroll away).

A well-placed CTA:
✅ Boosts engagement (comments, shares, likes - everything that brands love)
✅ Drives conversions (more clicks = more chances for a purchase)
✅ Grows the audience (turn viewers into brand’s followers)
✅ Makes your content purposeful (UGC that actually works, doesn’t just look pretty)

CTAs don’t all have to be “Buy Now” - in fact, that’s how you might lose audience’s interest! Here are some types and examples that work:

🔹 Soft CTAs (Organic / Fun) – These feel like a natural extension of your content.

  • “With this, you are date-ready!”

  • “I wasn’t expecting this to work, but wow.”

  • “Wait till you see the results yourself.”

🔹 Engagement CTAs – Encourage interaction, which helps with visibility.

  • “Which one do you like better? Comment below!”

  • “Send it to a friend who needs this.”

  • “Have you tried this? Let me know in the comments.”

🔹 Action-Based CTAs – Guide viewers toward a clear step - don’t give more than one!

  • “Click the link below to check it out.”

  • “Use my code [___] for a discount.”

  • “Swipe up to see the full collection.”

🔹 FOMO CTAs – Tap into urgency and curiosity.

  • “You don’t want to miss this deal.”

  • “They seem to sell out every time - grab yours before they’re gone!”

  • “Everyone who bought it at full price - I feel bad for you!”

🛠️ Making CTAs Feel Natural, Not Like an Ad

No brand wants you to sound like a salesperson. The key to balancing "adsy" vs. organic is to integrate CTAs into your storytelling.

✅ Talk like you text. Use language you’d actually say to a friend - this applies to the entire of your script, but even more importantly to your CTA.
✅ Make it feel personal. Why does this product matter to you? Why should it matter to your audience?
✅ Don’t overdo it. One clear CTA is better than three scattered ones. Avoid shouty sentences like “Go get it now! Regret if you won’t! Check out the link below!”
✅ Show, then tell. Instead of saying, “Buy this,” show how it actually helped you and why they should try it too.

Example: Instead of “This moisturiser is amazing, buy it now,” try:
✅ "Look at the difference in my skin - insane, right? If you’re struggling with the same thing, check out the link below."

Next time you shoot, experiment with different CTAs and see what feels the best. What would make you click at the end? Play around with it and find what feels most you.
