Stand out, get noticed, and make brands say YES

📹 ✅ Ever feel like you’re applying for a ton of campaigns and… crickets? 😅
Getting noticed by brands isn’t about luck - it’s about strategy, presentation, and relevance.
The good news: there are actionable ways to stack the deck in your favour and increase approvals without applying for more campaigns than you can handle.
Here’s your ultimate guide to getting brands to say yes - the smart way ⬇️

💌 1. Craft a Compelling Initial Message
First impressions matter - don’t just send “Would love to work together!” Brands see tens of messages every day.
Here’s what works:
Introduce yourself briefly and naturally.
Share a specific idea for the campaign - a creative POV, shot concept, or real-life connection (like a dog, partner, or hobby that fits the brand and could inspire them for a specific video).
Keep it short, snappy, and scannable - avoid walls of text.
💥 Pro tip: Brands skim, so bullet points or one-line ideas are perfect. Highlight your unique value without over-explaining.

📁 2. Keep Your Portfolio Polished
All videos you upload to Clip, including variations and add-ons, automatically appear in your portfolio. This is your “first impression gallery” - so keep it sharp AND don’t abandon it.
Go through your portfolio after every upload. Remove duplicates or weaker versions. Keep decluttering after every project to really maintain a polished feel at all times. But, if that’s not manageable - try to do it at least once a week.
Keep your strongest, most relevant clips at the top - these are the ones brands will see first. Remember that your videos show in order you add them, so always try to progress in your skills to have the best pieces at the top.
Be selective. Not every video belongs; think quality over quantity - always.
👉 Why it matters: Brands often don’t scroll through every clip, as they might have to go through multiple creators. The top few videos are your best chance to impress - make them count.

🎯 3. Apply To Briefs Strategically
Not every campaign is for you - and that’s okay! Imagine how boring it would be if everyone could create the same content.
Ask yourself:
Do I have access to what the brief requires? (Gym, outdoor locations, pets, friends, props…)
Am I comfortable with the type of content? (Talking on camera, lifestyle demonstration, showing kids or pets, showcasing underwear on me)
Does the product align with me personally? Would I actually use it in personal life? (This is where the authenticity lies!)
💥 Pro tip: Applying only to campaigns that fit both you and the product increases your chances of approval and ensures your content feels authentic. And the result? More authentic content that delivers more results for the brand.

📝 4. Keep Your Profile Up-to-Date
Your profile is your “creative CV.” Brands use it to get a sense of who you are and what you can offer.
Update life changes (new pet, hobby, location) — anything that could inspire creative ideas.
Connect your socials and keep your bio snappy and relevant.
Turn on Clip notifications to never miss opportunities:
Marketing: Newsletter & updates
Daily Digest: New campaigns
Invitations: When brands invite you
👉 Why it matters: A complete, current profile = a strong, trustworthy creator for the brand. It shows you’re active, engaged, and ready to collaborate.
