😵‍💫 Feedback Isn’t the Problem - Misunderstanding It Is

Difference between Clip's and Brand's Feedback and how to work them out

👀 If you’ve ever received feedback on Clip and thought:

“Did I do something wrong?”
“Do I need to re-film everything?”
“Is this bad?”

Take a breath.

There are two types of feedback on Clip - and they mean very different things. Understanding the difference will save you stress, time, and overthinking.

Let’s break it down👇

🔁 1. Brand Feedback = “Right Now” Changes

This is the feedback that requires action - now.

Brands are allowed one round of revisions, and this is their opportunity to adjust the current project so it aligns perfectly with their vision.

What this can include:

  • Changing a specific line in the voiceover

  • Swapping a scene

  • Adjusting the hook / CTA

  • Fixing a mispronunciation of the brand’s name

  • Correcting a spelling mistake in captions

  • Slight pacing tweaks

This doesn’t mean your video was bad. It means:
👉 The brand wants to fine-tune it for their audience and goals.

With brand feedback, you make the requested changes and re-upload the updated version as an “Edited Video.

It’s collaborative.
It’s normal.
It’s part of the process.

🌱 2. Clip Feedback = “Grow With Us”

This is completely different. When you receive feedback from Ally & Nikola, it does not mean you need to change your current project.

You DO NOT need to Re-edit, Re-film, or Re-upload.

Clip feedback is future-focused. It’s designed to help you level up over time, in a no-pressure way.

What this might look like:

  • Suggesting softer or more natural lighting

  • Encouraging slightly quicker scene changes

  • Noting that your script could feel more conversational

  • Exporting specs that can sharpen the quality of your UGC

  • Highlighting what you’re already doing amazingly

This feedback is an investment in you. It’s how we help you:

  • Improve gradually

  • Stay aligned with industry shifts

  • Keep growing without overwhelm

Think of it as mentorship - not correction.

🤝 What They Have in Common

Both types of feedback are equally important. But they serve different purposes:

  • Brand feedback = adjust this video now.

  • Clip feedback = keep this in mind for future projects.

One is immediate. The other is long-term growth.

And both exist because we want you to succeed and keep getting accepted for new Campaigns.

✨ One More Thing: Reviews Matter More Than You Think

There’s another important piece of the puzzle. After a project is completed, brands can leave a review on your Clip profile. This is huge!

Future brands see these reviews when deciding who they want to work with next.
Your profile isn’t just a portfolio - it’s your reputation.

Most brands will leave a 5-star review and highlight what you did especially well:

  • Communication

  • Creativity

  • Fast turnaround

  • Following the brief

  • Professionalism

But sometimes… they simply forget. And that’s okay!

If you’re genuinely proud of your final video and the collaboration went smoothly, it’s completely professional to send a polite message asking if they’d be open to leaving a review. Here’s a template you can copy, tweak, and adapt to match the vibe of the brand or project:

Hi [Brand Name] 👋

I just wanted to say thank you again for the opportunity to work on this project - I really enjoyed creating this for you.

If you’re happy with the final video and have a spare moment, I’d truly appreciate it if you could leave a review on my Clip profile. It helps future brands understand what it’s like to collaborate with me.

Of course, no pressure at all — just wanted to mention it 😊

Thanks again!

✨ The Bigger Picture

Feedback isn’t criticism. It’s collaboration, refinement - i’s growth.

Clip invests in its creators because we genuinely want you to become the best version of your UGC self - more confident, more skilled, and more in tune with what brands are looking for.
